The Wuyi Mountains in Northern Fujian Province, China poke through the clouds and hail as a tea paradise. The near-perfect conditions exist in the terroir of Wuyi for tea trees to prosper. Dramatic spires of rock rise into the clouds creating mist-filled valleys of sun and moonlight. The loamy and mineral-rich soil, abundance of waterfalls, streams and clouds, rich biodiversity, ideal temperature and humidity all make for sublime tea-growing conditions. Since the mid-1600's, this area has been evolving their traditional style of processing Oolong tea. This long history has produced what many believe to be the finest, most refined, subtle and complex of all Oolong Teas.
