Description
Golden Center is the perfect tea for warm late Autumn days when you want an uplifting, robust brew with malty, floral sweet and roasted notes. It’s tea for late Autumn before going into the depths of winter. The name speaks to an energetic quality of warmth and opening in the sternum. One can also detect pumpkin, melon and rose in the flavor profile. A premium Feng Qing black tea from small leaf and bud sets that were hand-picked and expertly processed in the classic style of Dian Hong first mastered by the Feng Qing tea factory in 1958. I love the spindly shape of the leaves, which is great for leaves-in-a-bowl tea.
This tea is entirely first flush spring tea from this past April’s harvest from bushes around 70 years old. The single family producer only makes small batches, focusing on expert processing in the classic Feng Qing style.
