These gong ting grade leaves are very small, juicy, and loaded with flavor. The body of the tea is thick and oily with a dark chocolate finish. We added dried orange peel to bring in a sweet, pungent, citrusy note that brightens the rich, earthy tea. This is the perfect marriage of flavor and function.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, sun-dried Mandarin orange peel is known for its ability to aid digestion and support the lungs. Pairing it with this shou puerh, which is also has digestive benefits, creates a blend that's both flavorful and good for your health.
We appreciate the patience of the tea and found ourselves drinking it for long sessions then boiling the leaves afterwards in a cauldron. We suggest brewing it gongfu with a small filter in the clay body to catch the small leaves, with water just shy of a rolling boil. EcoCert SA certified organic.
