- Description
Honestly, this is one of the best looseleaf aged sheng puerhs I've had. It just hits all the notes. Big, old-growth leaves with vegetal, buttery sweetness and hints of chinese medicinal herbs like astragalus and licorice root. It reminds me of wet earth in the late summer just before fall arrives. Centering, warming, heart-opening: a tea for connecting with Mother Earth. Tea Medicine. Perfectly balanced, clean, great structure and complex. The healthy vibrant forest and strong energy are quite apparent.
In Taoism, the "celestial axis" (or axis mundi) refers to a central point, often a mountain, a tree, or a pillar, that connects the heavens, earth, and the underworld, representing the core of the cosmos and a pathway for divine energy. This tea gained this name because it restores the upright energy in a person, realigning them with clear intention. At least, that was our experience in drinking it.
