Fuzi Aged Ripe Puerh Tuocha, 2005
The character pressed into each mini square, often translated as "happiness," captures the essence of this beautiful tea. With bright, uplifting energy, Happiness unfolds flavors of jujube dates, french brioche, earthy forest floor and light berries, over many patient steepings. Balanced fermentation and complexity from the aging. We also love how the mini tuochas open slowly and how the tea transforms dramatically throughout the session. We offered this tea in the private vault last Spring, but so many people loved it, we decided to include it in the winter tea club. Further, who couldn’t use a little extra dose of happiness in the depths of winter.
Evenfall
Loose Aged Sheng Puerh, 1996
A little sweet, clean, vegetal, bright and forest floor flavors, Evenfall reminds me of a winter sunset. Flavors of spring water and squash blossoms with an astringent sweetness on the back of the tongue. Evenfall is perfect for when you want an earthy but lighter sheng on a warmer winter day. The deep Qi is immediately detectable and the relaxed energy invites a deep breath and a smile. This tea opens slowly and you want to drink it all afternoon. Its claim to fame is the pervasive wonderful energy that’s great for deeper inner work during the yin time of the year.

Big Snow Mountain Wild Purple Tea, 2025
Luminous Gate is a vibrant, aromatic old-tree Purple-Red tea that engages the senses with a deep ruby hue and honey-sweet, layered flavors. Made from rare purple-buds and leaves, Luminous Gate offers a delicate, smooth balance of floral sweetness, berries and hibiscus. Refreshing and uplifting while maintaining the depth of red tea, we find this tea more complex than Gateway of Spirit, a long-time favorite in the Living Tea catalogue.

Zongcha Loose Leaf Shou Puerh, 2002
Fat dry leaves with hearty stems yield a super clean, refreshing and patient tea. This tea reminded me of being in my father’s woodshop as a kid, or perhaps a lumberyard. The pleasant woodsy notes underscore unique vegetal flavors of button mushrooms and sweet green bean. Interbeing is super patient and drinks more like a mid 90's tea with a strong settling energy. Phenomenal tea for the price and ideal for those days you want an earthy, but dryer and less heavily fermented tea during a warmer winter day.

When will I receive the Seasonal Tea Club?
Subscribe to the Seasonal Tea Club at any time to receive the current installment immediately. You will then be charged for the next season at the beginning of the next season, on the date indicated below.
The Seasonal Tea Club aligns with the lunar calendar, with the following schedule:
- Winter ships November 1 - January 15. Subscribers are charged on October 26.
- Spring ships February 1 - April 15. Subscribers are charged on January 26.
- Summer ships May 1 - July 15. Subscribers are charged on April 26.
- Autumn ships August 1 - October 15. Subscribers are charged on July 26.
Do you charge quarterly?
Your personal subscription: Yes, our subscription software will charge your original method of payment at the beginning of each quarter: on the 26th of January, April, July, and October.
Gift subscriptions: No, gifts are a one-time purchase. You will receive email confirmation when the subsequent installments are ready to ship, but your original method of payment will not be charged.
