Inner Circle (2013)
Shou Puerh • Bulang Mountain, Xishuangbanna 2013
- Description
With a stunning burnt-umber liquor, Inner Circle maintains bold complexity through many steepings. One can distinguish aromas and flavors of roasted plum, cacao, wicker, tobacco and chestnut. Comprised primarily of golden buds and heavier grade leaves, which were then fermented for nearly two months after harvest, this first flush ripe puerh is a wonderfully balanced tea.
Connoisseurs will enjoy comparing this 2013 harvest to the 2020 we also offer. Notice how shou puerhs tend to decrease in astringency, relax in qi, and develop a smoother, rounder body as they age.
Brewing Methods
At Living Tea we practice three brewing methods that suit different occasions and tea experiences. Each method coaxes out certain qualities in these beautiful leaves.
