This vintage puerh is a stunning choice for shou lovers. A strong aroma of toasted hay complements the smokiness and dry wood flavor of initial steepings. An exceptionally patient loose leaf shou, later steepings transform into a subtle sweetness, while retaining the warming and grounding qualities that linger in the throat. The name "Homeland" was chosen for this tea's evocative nostalgic character, and its earthiness without the thick heaviness of some young shous. As with most gong ting shou puerhs, we suggest brewing this gongfu style with near-boiling water.
