Holiday Collection - Green and Gold
This collection includes:
1 Glazed Gongfu Pot 150 ml.
The work of our friend, a local ceramicist and tea lover residing in Olympia, Washington. In the artist's own words, "this teapot series continues to evolve, directed and influenced by nature’s effortless beauty and wisdom. The endless possibilities of shape, texture, color, are my greatest teachers. During the creative process, I have a very clear intention to explore and walk the line where art meets functionality. Ultimately, I want the people who hold my work in their hands to see these teapots as another combination of elements and materials that nature put together. My hands are tools receiving natures instructions." Living Tea shares this philosophy of relating to tea as a means of working within and learning the principles of nature. These principles guide our lives through balance, insight, harmony, reverence and clarity. And, of course, these pots make a fine cup of tea.
Ideal for 2-4 people. Glazed interior, and thus you can leave the leaves after tea sessions for a second session as the oils will not influence the clay over time.
4 Gongfu Teacups
Beautiful runners add elegance, color and the Earth element to any Cha Xi (tea stage). These mats were hand-sewn in Taiwan using vintage fabrics. The inset patterns were individually chosen to match different seasonal Cha Xi's.
The underside is soft green. Both sides are great for use.
1 Large Agate Cha Xi Stone
4 Midsized Tea Stones
These stunning locally-sourced Agates are the ideal lid rest for your teapot top during infusions. They can also be used to rest an incense censer, small vase or other items that make up the beautiful aesthetic of your Cha Xi. These are the highest quality, fair-trade agates we have found.
If bought separately, this collection would total: $456
