Handmade Painted Jar and Clay Censer - Large
These stunning hand-painted and thrown clay jars were made by Tarahumara Native American People from northwestern Mexico. Using natural, plant-based paints and dyes, as well as clay, the detail and care in each jar is remarkable. They can be used to store tea stones, tea leaves or most ideally, incense coils. Also, by gently tilting the lid, the jars serve as beautiful aloeswood incense censers, allowing the incense to burn slowly due to reduced airflow.
