AUGUST 2021: THE FIVE ELEMENTS OF LIFE

We will be exploring the five elements as a path of self-cultivation, collective cultivation and healing. Drawing from the Taoist tradition, this exploration will include a deep dive into the Way of Tea, Qi Gong, and Nature-based practices. We'll also be exploring meditation, food and herbs, and trekking to extraordinary locations for training in the Way of the Rope, Qi Gong, Taoist practice and ceremonial work.

The focus of the retreat is connecting with the elements in ourselves and Nature. We'll be learning the 8 Treasures Qi Gong form as taught in the Ni Family Lineage.

The afternoon will include free time to explore the astounding natural beauty of the Telluride valley including local hot springs, waterfalls, caves, hiking and mountain biking.

Also, we will be offering acupuncture, herbal and dietary consultations and body work during the free-time.

In the late afternoon and evenings, we'll come back together for further practice.

Retreat participants can expect to walk away with foundational mindfulness and wellness practices that will enrich and empower their lives, and provide for an essential foundation in the Way of Tea, Qi Gong, meditation and Taoist Practice. Further, we will develop life-long friendships with like-minded, wonderful people.

Accommodations

Nestled in the heart of Telluride, one block from the Gondola, the Victorian Inn offers everything you need for a very comfortable stay during the retreat. Each room is equipped with two queen-size beds, so you will be sharing the room with one other retreat participant. The Inn has a 10 person hot tub, outdoor grills, complementary breakfast, oxygen tanks for sale (to help with altitude adjustment), and 20% off coupons for bike rentals. Just a two block walk from the teahouse, the Inn will serve as a perfect "base-camp." For those of you who want your own room, the cost of accommodations will be more expensive. Also, if you wish to book separate accomodations, we will need to know by the end of May.

Retreat Cost: $3000

This price includes your room and complementary breakfast, as well as an amazing 5-Element dinner each night prepared by devotional plant-based chef and founder of SriMu Do Life, Julie Piatt. All classes, transportation to hotsprings and fire ceremony, mala beads for meditation, and rope for Way of the Rope training are included.

Getting to Telluride

It is best to look at flights into Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), which is about a 1.5 hour drive from Telluride. There is a tiny airport in Telluride as well, but flights are extremely limited. You can also fly into Denver International Airport (DEN), and although a car is not needed in Telluride, you can drive 6.5 hours from Denver, which may be a viable option if you are flying in with a group of people. We will make travel arrangements with you and your group after you've signed up.
