Grace - Gao Li Gong Ceremonial Sheng Puerh 2007 - 1.5 oz
From very old trees (~1000 yrs), Grace reminds one of a cozy Autumn day before the seasons have turned, the time of harvest before nature moves into Winter. The body is sticky like sap and resin, coating the whole mouth and lingering on the breath for a long time. One can taste dry, freshly-fallen leaves and Autumn fruits like apples, asian pears and grapes. The Qi is very even, balanced and stable. The clarity of Grace would also make it a nice tea for Springtime- detoxifying, cleansing and awakening. The large leaves are also wonderful as bowl tea, with leaves brewed directly in the bowl.
The Gao Li Gong Mountains are located in the Western Yunnan Highlands straddling the border of South China and Northern Myanmar (Burma). Lincang is the birthplace of tea. This protected World Biosphere Nature Reserve is home to an incredible array of plant and animal species, including these remote old-growth tea trees. Living Tea is lucky to get such remote, old-growth trees from a pristine nature reserve. The clarity of the terroir is evident in the strong Qi and clean, pure tea.
"I have been a tea connoisseur for about 20 years now. When I first started, it was very difficult to get high-quality teas in America. With the recent explosion, many new options are available. I have tried several. After having tried Living Tea, I will order from no one else. Their teas, especially the aged varieties, are beyond compare. I cannot recommend him highly enough!"
