Immunity Tea

In a recent study done by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, they screened 720 natural compounds for inhibitory activity against viral replication of SARS-CoV. Two compounds in the library were found to be inhibitive: tannic acid and TF2B, both of which belong to a group of natural polyphenols found in tea.

After investigating inhibitory activity of several different types of teas, including green teaoolong teaPu-erh tea and black tea, their results indicated that extracts from Pu-erh and black tea were more potent than those from green or oolong teas in their inhibitory activities against viral replication of SARS-CoV. 

That being said, the antioxidants found in green teas help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. In other words, green tea is good for you when the body is under stress. The teas listed below are some that we've handpicked for their immunity boosting properties, but any teas from the ShouSheng and Red Tea categories will have inhibitory activity against Corona Virus.
